Milne Launches Two New Product Lines
Milne Fruit Products has expanded our product line again. We’ve just launched a new line of frozen berry products, including IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) and more. Our new MicroDried™ product line continues to grow with a wide range of applications surpassing traditional dried products. We hope you will drop by the Milne booth at the Natural Products show in Anaheim, CA to meet our team and check out these new offerings, alongside our traditional juice and concentrated products.
Frozen Berry Products Now Being OfferedMilne Fruit Products is pleased to announce an expansion of our product offerings, as we have become the new, exclusive distributor of Wyckoff Farms’ frozen berry products.
“Our customers can now source IQF, straight pack and non-pasteurized sieved and seedless products through their Milne broker or sales representative,” said Michael Sorenson, General Manager. “We are also utilizing Milne’s global sales network to expand the market for these products produced by our parent company.”
Vertically integrated from field to final product, the frozen berry product line includes black raspberries, red raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, and is produced with the high quality standards customers have come to expect from Milne and Wyckoff Farms.

MicroDried™ All Natural, All Fruit
Milne has begun full-scale production and shipments of our new MicroDried™ line of 100% all-natural fruit products. Initial offerings include blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.
“These large, plump dried fruit pieces are rich with the real color, flavor, fragrance and taste of natural fruit,” said Jack Schroeder, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “It’s a truly revolutionary product line that surpasses traditional dried products in nutritional content, as well as eye and mouth appeal.”
MicroDried fruit is available in several moisture ranges from crunchy to chewy, offering a wide scope of applications from hot and cold cereals to baked goods, trail mixes, granola bars, baking mixes and more. The line is expected to springboard new product opportunities that simply were not possible before.
Most MicroDried products are vertically integrated with fruit grown by Wyckoff Farms and produced under the high quality assurance standards that are hallmarks of both Milne and Wyckoff Farms. See What's Cooking at the R&D Plant
A number of construction projects are now underway at Milne’s new Research and Development (R&D) pilot plant. Equipment is currently being installed which will allow the plant to produce small batches of conventional products such as the concentrates, purees and extracts processed in the main facility. The plant is currently producing MicroDried products on a smaller scale such as those processed at Milne’s Nampa, ID plant.
“This facility is a cost-effective, efficient way to evaluate different types of fruits and develop new products,” said Eric Johnson, R&D Process Development Manager. “The pilot plant also allows us to produce samples and customize products tailored to our customers’ needs.”
If you would like to tour the new pilot plant or discuss product development, please contact Shannon Elkins, Director of Sales and Marketing, at 509.786.2611 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Fruit Focus: Plums
Plum trees were first brought to California from Asia in the 1870s, and have since become an American favorite ingredient in products ranging from sauces to trail mixes.
The appeal of this naturally sweet fruit is no small wonder. At about 70 calories per serving (two medium plums), plums are fat free, sodium free, cholesterol free and are a good source of vitamin C. They have a wide variety of applications, including:
- Fruit smoothies
- Pastry fillings
- Salad toppings & trail mixes
- Sauces & drizzles
- Yogurts & ice creams
- Chutneys, jams & relishes
Plums can deliver color, flavor and nutrition to your next new product offering. For procurement information, contact Shannon Elkins, Director of Sales and Marketing, at email@example.com or 509.786.2611.
